About the school

This school is born from the idea of creating a lifelong movement education. The teachings are provided in an organized, modular, and process-based approach which will allow for personal development. 

The goal will be that of lifting the boundaries between wellbeing, fitness, interpersonal communication, therapy, athleticism, spiritual development, physical expression allowing for a rich and complete practice to use as a tool and central piece of one’s life.  

The materials follow a cycle of work of 6 weeks in length but connect one to the next to offer a flawless continuation of discoveries throughout all seasons of life.

 I teach students under my direct guidance to ensure the highest quality of education.  

The projects we explore together entail four orders of relationships: between oneself and the body, the inner world, the living beings, and the environment.

Four orders of relationships in movement

The body

In these modules, we will address qualities relating to capacity development, motor control and life force enhancement. Different districts in the body will be examined, studied, and developed following a clear logic.

From increasing availabilities in the spine to opening options in the legs and arms, all the way to retuning the general efficiencies and functioning of one’s system.

Improvements on these layers will be vast and field-tested on reducing fatigue, speeding up adaptation, distributing energy more effectively and accessing it at will. This general skeleton of possibilities will simultaneously be dressed in athletic and acrobatic skills, dance-based examinations, movement riddles, diverse forms of coordination, dynamic awareness, and ever-changing structures to ensure an improvement in the overall intelligence of the body and not in the power of the “engine” alone.

Both the hard science of strength and conditioning and the subtle investigation of various movement arts will guide this long process of self-exploration.

 

 

 

The inner world

 

Here the investigation will be directed towards understanding and manipulating the mechanics and the functioning of the mind. 

What is consciousness?
Where do emotions, feelings, sensations and thoughts originate?
Where do they land when they manifest in our virtual field of awareness?
Can they be controlled and directed?

The work will go in the direction of answering these questions through an experiential approach derived from Yoga, Taoism, Bon, Zen, various mystic traditions, and cutting-edge evidence-based neuroscience. 

Progressions will also be provided to give a clear improvement in overall cognition and help deepen and unravel the mysteries of the “self”.

The knowledge will also be applied in the form of practical tools to observe oneself with honesty, manipulate internal physiology through breathing and visualizations, develop sharp attention, manage fear under many conditions and settings, deal with emotions more effectively, improve willpower, define and crystallize one’s I.
 

 

The environment 

This branch of the movement practice explores the human potential in relationship with the environment.

Here we will investigate ways to interact with, displace through and navigate in space. 

Brachiating, jumping, landing, swimming, dancing with objects, managing impacts, carrying, throwing, climbing, vaulting to name a few. Gaining different motor solutions within a context is essential to ensure complete personal development.

If this is never done, one can easily be deluded into doing inconclusive work as it never gets cross-tested and applied in real scenarios.

The material originates from decades-long research in the world of climbing, parkour practice, urban and natural exploration, stuntmen preparation, and special forces training. 

This bundle of elements will be approached with precise scalability, accessibility and with great attention towards long-term sustainability.

Injuries will be avoided via sui generis protocols to protect the joints and other bodily structures, interference management, shielding techniques and thoughtful progressions to avoid any form of psychological damage.

The living beings

The nature of all phenomena is that of reciprocity, not substance.

From this understanding stems the idea that relationships should be examined and nurtured to cultivate a complete movement practice.

Projects in this field will pertain to all the situations that could simply not be without another living being. The core of this work will revolve around communication, interrelation, and codependency in movement.

This will vary greatly in practice, some topics of study will be fighting scenarios, strategic games, shared thinking skills, group-based movement tasks, dance flocking, contact improvisation, all the way to animals riding and spending time in nature and understanding its long-term rules. 

Within these modules, a part of the work will also be dedicated to creating and manifesting the correct conditions and rules of being in such a special group of people in the school to ensure continual and mutual development.

The aim is to create a strong tribe that can love each other, foster mental health, support, give motivation and push its members when needed. This way of life leaves no one behind.
